We
have a center mount frame, secure for the rower and leaving space for
4 paddlers. One of these will be our guide, another our skilled highsider,
and this leaves room for two of your willing friends, or if they prefer,
they can ride in another raft guided by one of our professional guides.
Naturally, we will be accompanied by our full safety crew of a cataraft
and safety kayak whenever we run big rapids.
The
best trip for class III+ rowers is the Figueroa/Futaleufu combo, a 10
day adventure. The milder rapids on the Rio Figueroa create a great opportunity
to warm up and get used to the big water feel in a wilderness setting
of unsurpassed beauty. By the time we get to the Rio Futaleufu, you'll
be ready to negotiate the classic rapids like Zapata, Pillow, and Himalayas,
while leaving the class V Terminator and Casa de Piedra to our guide to
safely run the entire river.
